ELD Hub vs TT ELD

TT ELD vs ELD Hub

Same PT-30 hardware. Better software, better support, better price.

TT ELD sells the popular PT-30 device, but their software has aged and support is largely dispatcher-focused. ELD Hub runs on the same PT-30 hardware, plus IOSiX as an option — with a modern app, US phone support, and freight tools built in.

Why fleets switch from TT ELD to ELD Hub

Keep the PT-30 you know

Drivers already trained on the PT-30 device don't relearn anything. Same hardware, new app.

One vendor, not a reseller chain

TT ELD often sells through resellers, so support quality varies wildly. ELD Hub is direct — one company, one team.

More included at the same price

Freight factoring, dispatch, IFTA reports — all included at $15/truck. TT ELD charges extra for most of these.

How to switch (takes about 30 minutes)

  1. 1

    Cancel your existing plan

Most TT ELD contracts are month-to-month or have a 30-day notice window. Check your contract before starting.

  2. 2

    Order ELD Hub hardware

Free 2-day shipping on PT-30 or IOSiX devices. No setup fees.

  3. 3

    Plug in and pair

Driver plugs the device into the OBD-II port, opens the ELD Hub app, and pairs over Bluetooth. Under 10 minutes per truck.

  4. 4

    Log in and drive

Your fleet dashboard, HOS, DVIRs, and IFTA reporting go live the same day.

TT ELD vs ELD Hub FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is TT ELD FMCSA-registered?

Yes, TT ELD is on the FMCSA ELD list, and so is ELD Hub. The underlying PT-30 hardware is FMCSA-certified regardless of which platform runs it.

Can I keep my TT ELD PT-30 hardware and switch to ELD Hub?

The PT-30 is a widely-used device, but the firmware on TT ELD's units is provisioned to their platform. You'll need an ELD Hub-provisioned PT-30, which we ship free with a subscription. Same device, new firmware.

How does ELD Hub's driver app compare to TT ELD's app?

TT ELD's app hasn't been redesigned in several years and drivers frequently report Bluetooth pairing issues. ELD Hub redesigned both iOS and Android apps in 2025 with faster pairing, cleaner HOS displays, and offline log capture.

Is support really different?

TT ELD is often distributed through independent resellers, so who answers your call depends on where you bought. ELD Hub is a single company with a Delaware-based support line: 302-404-1177.

How long does it take to switch from TT ELD to ELD Hub?

About 30 minutes per truck. Order the ELD Hub PT-30 (free with subscription), plug it into OBD-II, pair with the app over Bluetooth, log in. Your fleet dashboard is live the same day.

Does ELD Hub offer freight and factoring like other platforms?

Yes. ELD Hub bundles freight, factoring, and dispatch tools with the ELD — TT ELD focuses only on the log side.
