Why is a vetting platform asking me for an ELD when my van is exempt?+
Vetting platforms use ELD or telematics data to confirm that the truck exists, that it is where the carrier says it is, and that it matches the MC on the load. That check is a condition of booking freight through the broker, not a federal requirement. An FMCSA-exempt carrier can meet it by running a real ELD account voluntarily.
