Should I choose IOSiX or the PT-30?
Both are FMCSA-registered and both work great with ELD Hub. The PT-30 is the cheaper option and covers most trucks. IOSiX has slightly better diagnostic accuracy on 2020+ model-year trucks — fewer missed engine events, cleaner HOS logs. How do I install the IOSiX ELD?
Same as any OBD-II ELD: plug the device into the diagnostic port under the dash, turn the ignition on, install the ELD Hub app, pair over Bluetooth, log in. Total time: about 10 minutes per truck. No mechanic, no tools.
Does IOSiX cost more than the PT-30?
The IOSiX device retails higher than the PT-30 as a standalone purchase, but with ELD Hub the device is included in the $15/truck/month subscription regardless of which hardware you choose. Same price, either device.
Can I use an IOSiX from another ELD provider?
In many cases yes. Call 302-404-1177 with your device serial number and we'll check whether it can be re-registered to ELD Hub. If yes, you skip the hardware purchase entirely.
Does the IOSiX need a data plan?
The IOSiX pairs to the driver's phone over Bluetooth and the ELD Hub app uploads logs over the phone's cellular data — no separate SIM or data plan on the device itself.
