How the switch works
1. Confirm the device
Read the model and serial off the unit plugged into the diagnostic port, then call 302-404-1177. We tell you in one call whether it re-registers.
2. Export your logs
Pull the last six months of RODS out of your current provider before the account closes. FMCSA requires you to retain them.
3. Re-register free
We add your existing PT-30 or IOSiX to your ELD Hub account at no cost. No shipping, no downtime, no new hardware bill.
4. Update the cab card
Swap in the ELD Hub user manual, malfunction procedure, and data-transfer instructions before your next roadside inspection.
Questions before you switch
Can I really use my current PT-30 with ELD Hub?
In most cases yes. The PT-30 is provider-configurable, so the same physical unit can be re-registered to a different FMCSA-registered ELD provider. Call 302-404-1177 with the serial number and we will confirm your specific unit before you cancel your current service.
Does ELD Hub charge to re-register hardware I already own?
No. Re-registering a PT-30 or IOSiX you already own is free. You only pay the $15/truck/month software fee.
What if my device is provider-branded and cannot transfer?
Then you need a new unit. ELD Hub sells the PT-30 for $150 per device with the diagnostic cable included and free ground shipping (5–7 business days, mainland USA). There is no contract and no setup fee.
Will I lose my logs when I switch?
Not if you export first. Pull your last six months of RODS from your current provider before the account closes — FMCSA requires you to retain them for six months regardless of who your provider is.
How long is the changeover per truck?
About an hour per truck when reusing existing hardware, including pairing and updating the cab card packet. HOS and IFTA go live the same day.
